Weekend Round Up 05/01/19

On Sunday, the under 14s came to Leicester Grammar to play Ashby.

It was nice weather, but many of us hadn't played hockey for at least a month because of the Winter holidays. But that didn't hold us back because we did very well against the good Ashby side.

We started the game off well with lots of chances, and then from our first short corner Isabella managed to score a brilliant goal from the top of the D, which meant we were on top. We continue to play well, but before half time Ashby managed to gat one back.

After a team talk from Lauren we came into the second half determined, but due to some great passing from Ashby, they managed to get another goal. However, we did not let this get us down because we still kept on going, and after an awesome run down the right hand side from Catherine, Tara managed to equalise! We carried on the rest of the game trying our best to score, unlucky hitting the post a few times, but we just couldn't quite get one in. The final score was 2-2 and we all played very well!
