Preseason has begun for our First and Second team and tonight officially starts for our Third and Fourth teams.

After last season’s disappointing relegation to the Investec Conference North Leicester First team are ready to bounce back with a bang! We are sad to say goodbye to some great players as they continue their hockey journey elsewhere but are delighted to welcome a number of new faces to the training squad and look forward to seeing them in action in the coming weeks. Special welcome to Mina Nagano who joins us this season from Japan, she will be staying with club members for the duration of her stay and we hope she enjoys our English hospitality! Former Second Team coach Joe Paul has moved into Assistant Coach of the First Team alongside Coach David Mayer and new Team Manager Sarah Treanor takes over from club legend Sue Holwell. Caitlin Jeffries takes over the team captaincy from Lucy Briscoe currently travelling- we hope you aren’t having too much fun without us! The Firsts will start their season on Sunday 30th September away at Belper HC (12 noon pushback), following an extensive preseason programme incluing friendlies against Gloucester, Birmingham University, Wimbledon, Bowdon, Loughborough Students, Cambridge HCs and tournaments at Birmingham University and Plum Tournament in London.

Our Second Team Coach role has been filled by new guy on the block James Sordillo who joins us from a successful time at Trojans HC. James is new to the area so make sure you give him your top tips on all things Leicestershire! He is also joined by David Hill, current Fourth Team coach, who will be taking on an additional position as Second Team Assistant Coach.
