Hockey For Heroes #OpEndure 28/05/18
Leicester are pleased to be part of the amazing Hockey for Heroes #OpEndure challenge taking place across the UK from 26th May- 2nd June. The challenge involves the twenty five strong Hockey for Heroes ladies squad taking part in 28 games of hockey and 8 military challenges in 8 days- a gruelling fundraising exercise pushing their mental and physical capabilities.
Schedule:
Saturday 26th May – Host club- Wildcats Hockey, Glasgow
• 5 Mile Speed March with 36lbs
• 4 games
Sunday 27th May – Host club - Leeds HC
• Clock Race 1.5 mile, 50 sit ups, 21 push ups
• 4 games
Monday 28th May - Host club - Leicester HC
• Assault Course
• 4 games
Tuesday 29th May - Host club - Bowdon HC, Manchester
• Weighted Clock Race
• 3 games
Wednesday 30th May - Host club - Old Silhillians, Solihull
• 10 Mile Run in 2.5hrs
• 3 games
Thursday 31st May - Host club - Reading HC
• Stretcher Race
• 3 games
Friday 1st June - Host club - Guildford HC
• Log Race
• 3 games
Saturday 2nd June - Host club - Canterbury HC
• Military PT Session
• 3 games
Nikki Laybourne- Leicester First Team and Club Coach: ‘It is a huge privilege to be a part of this fantastic organisation and the Hockey for Heroes Ladies Squad. Over the past months we have been training and fundraising hard, hoping to raise over £30,000 for Help for Heroes. I am looking forward to both the physical and mental challenge that OpEndure is going to provide, in what is sure to be the most demanding thing I have ever undertaken!’

On Monday 28th May LHC will welcome the #OpEndure squad for their four fixtures for the day:
- 11:00 Loughborough University
- 12:30 Stourport HC
- 14:00 Beeston HC
- 15:50 Leicester HC
Meanwhile we will also be hosting U12 Multi Sports with MT13 and Sam Ward 10:30-12:30 and Under 14 & Under 16 matches between Stourport, Beeston and Leicester, as well as a raffle from 17:00. Please come down to Leicester Grammar School to support.
