Leicester City launch 3rd Men's team
This week Leicester City announced the launch of a Men's 3s team ahead of the new league season.
Following the success of the two existing Men's teams in recent years, including back-to-back promotions for the M1s, the additional team gives more opportunities for players in Leicester to get involved in the sport.
Sarah Treanor, Vice-President, said: "This is fantastic news for the club and we can't wait to have even more people in our amazing game moving forward.
"The Men's section has grown so quickly since it started three years ago, and success on the pitch means we're ready to launch another new team.
"St Maragrets Pastures is an ideal location for players of all abilities to enjoy the game, and with the new pitch being installed next year, it's an amazing time to join the club".
The Men's 3s will play in the Midlands Regional Hockey Association Men's Open League, and will start from the bottom division.
The two current teams are playing in a Leicestershire League, with friendly fixtures every Saturday following the null and void competitive season.
