Firsts Depart Ben Rydding With 3-1 Win

Leicester City travelled to Ben Rhydding on Saturday looking to build on an excellent victory last week against University of Nottingham. Ben Rhydding had always proved to be tough opponents in recent seasons and this match proved to be the same.

Jeorgia Carr gave Leicester a 1-0 early lead following a drag flick from a short corner and this was quickly followed by a Rachel Mack thunderbolt as Leicester raced to an early 2-0 advantage. The game continued to be played at a high tempo with more chances falling to either team but it was Liz George late in the second half that sealed the points from a well executed short corner move. The final score finishing 3-1 to Leicester as Ben Rhydding scored a late consolation.

Next week the ladies are at LGS and welcome the University of Durham at 2pm.
