Covid-19 Update – Monday 16 March

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak across the UK, we currently find ourselves in quite unsettling and concerning times.

Leicester City Hockey Club’s priority is the health and wellbeing of our members and their families and friends, so we have decided that the club will not train this week.

This covers training for Women’s, Men’s, Academy (on 22 March), GK School and the Walking Hockey session this week.

The situation is constantly changing and we expect statements from government, England Hockey and our regional/local leagues may affect things if they are issued, but it is currently our position that we plan to fulfil Senior League fixtures next Saturday where it is possible to do so.

If you have underlying health issues or are concerned about risks to your (or your family’s) health, you do not have to play; we don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable or worry while at hockey. If you are happy to play, please contact Leicester City Hockey Club to confirm your availability.

Our senior group will continue to assess the situation and we expect to send out more updates throughout the week.
