Threes Defeat Uni of Leicester 3-2

Leicester City Ladies’ Threes continue to move from strength to strength this season, and that is down to everyone’s commitment and Paul’s hard work coaching the team from week to week.

Our final scores reflect our determination for each other and us as a squad our very proud of our achievements thus far.

This brings us to Saturday’s (1 February) game against University of Leicester.

Despite a 3-2-win Saturday and a horrible 4.30pm push back with cold winds the score line should have been a lot higher; but a win is a win, right?

Kayleigh was DoD for a spectacular game of how many times can she hit directly at the goalie and being yellow carded for tackling.

Chiara and Elise quite rightly so won players of the match voted by their teammates as they have progressed from week to week, making excellent leading runs and playing off the ball and just an overall workhorses within the team – well done both!

We created a lot of chances played through a difficult game and still won so it is a huge credit to us all.

Ladies, let’s build from this result and continue to grow as a team, proud of you all.
