Three Is The Magic Number For Ladies Firsts

Leicester City Hockey Club Firsts started their outdoor hockey again this season against Olton and West Warwick on Saturday 1 February.

Leicester started fast but were unable to capitalise on this dominance and the score remained 0-0 until close to half-time, when Oriwa Hepi thundered a shot past the ‘keeper.

In the second half, Leicester made far more opportunities through their overlapping players and looked for more goals.

Nikki Laybourne provided two more goals to give Leicester a 3-0 lead. Olton did score themselves with one minute to go from a well-worked PC routine to make it 3-1.

Next week, the team host Ben Rhydding at Leicester Grammar School; 12.00noon PB, with supporters welcome.
