U12s FINISH 8TH AT NATIONAL FINALS!
On Saturday the mighty U12s took on some of the best hockey teams in the country, competing in the In2 Hockey National Finals at Nottingham Hockey Centre.
After four exciting and competitive group matches the girls went on to play Marlow in the play off round and whilst the score line didn’t end in their favour, Leicester Hockey walked away as 8th best team in the country!
What a great experience for the girls and a huge achievement for Leicester Hockey. A special thank you to Coach Gaynor and Coach O for their support today and throughout the season and to Jan Lloyd (Academy Lead) and Carol Johnson (Club President) for travelling to Nottingham to support the team. We are super proud of each and every player- a fantastic day of hockey.

Goal Savers (lots of them!) - Amelia Wenlock

Sunday
U10s ASHBY TOURNAMENT
Well done to Leicester U10s who came 3rd at the Ashby Tournament, loosing the semi-final again in a penalty shootout- deja vu from regional finals!
Squad: Annabel, Eve, Hannah, Millie, Lucia, Megan, Ann & Izzy (U8 playing for U10s)
U12s ASHBY TOURNAMENT
The first game found the girls having to quickly find themselves as a team after going down 3-0 to Beeston. This did not phase the girls, they had chat after the game and found some common ground and went on to beat Ashby in a well fought 1-0 win. Goal scorer Anna (U10s player).
Moving forward the girls fought hard with a narrow loss to Lichfield in the final minutes of the game with all efforts left out on the pitch. With continual learning and improvement the girls went out with a bang in their final game winning 2-0l thanks to Olivia and Imara.
We were very pleased with the development of the girls and happy to see the leicester fighting spirit.
